This page is a quick 'n' dirty hack to make a page that you can easily use to add a live bookmark in Mozilla Firefox when the page supplying the feed doesn't do things the way Firefox would like. If a page that has a link on it to an RSS or Atom feed (for a blog, say) doesn't show the Live Bookmark icon in Firefox, copy the URL for the feed. e.g. http://www.wrigley.me.uk/wp/?feed=rss2 and paste it into the box above. If it's a valid feed, the Live Bookmark icon should appear for you.
It's had no real debugging, errors are likely to be ugly and possibly wrong, but hopefully it should work. It uses the rather behemoth MagpieRSS to parse the feeds, which I may change if I can find a faster, lighter alternative.
Drag the link below to your bookmarks to create a bookmarklet for this page. To use it, click on the link you want to add as a live bookmark to load it in your browser (you'll see a lot of ugly XML). Then just click on the bookmarklet and it will load this page with the URL of the feed you want to add.
